Action of angiotensin and plasmakinins on blood flow through the mammary artery in lactating small ruminants

Blood flow through the udder of ewes and goats was measured by electromagnetic probes implanted around the external pudic artery. Intravenous injection of angiotensin decreased mammary blood flow and increased systemic blood pressure. Injection of plasma kinius increased mammary blood flow; this effect was usually preceded by a brief fall produced by hypotension. Kallikrein increased mammary blood flow and decreased systemic blood pressure.
