Report on a case of ulcer of the middle third of the esophagus, on the one hand, and of numerous pseudo-metastatic tumors on the peritoneum, on the other, observed in the same patient. The biopsies of the esophagus as well as those of the peritoneum reveal an inflammatory process with giant cells without specificity. At autopsy the lesions appear to he tuberculous. The authors emphasize the rarity of tuberculosis of the esophagus. The various (ulcerous, stenosing and miliary I forms are described from clinical, radiological, endoscopic and anatomic points of view. The controversial notion of primary esophageal tuberculosis is discussed.
