Fifty-two patients with paralysis of the common peroneal nerve were treated with acupuncture plus plum-blossom needling. Of these, 46 with drop-foot were cured. Foot function and normal walking posture were restored; 4 patients improved, and only 2 failed to respond. The average cure time was 28 days (range 10-40 days); the average number of sessions was 16, ranging from 7-32.
