Comparative ultrastructural study of the state of organelles (nuclei, mitochondria, microbodies, lysosomes) participating in cardiomyocyte energy supply was conducted in intact pregnant rats and those subjected to intermittent normobaric hypoxia. No essential differences were found between these groups of animals. Appearance of glycogen granules in nuclei, mitochondria, lysosomes, and microbodies (peroxysomes) was observed in both cases as were matrix condensation of mitochondria and their hyperplasia.
