The contractile elements of the parenchymal part of the bladder wall of Cysticercus bovis differ greatly from the muscle bundles of the subtegumental region both in shape and size, although their fine structure is the same. They are made up of thin and thick myofilaments with dense bodies on their surface. There are 2 unpaged plates. [AS].
