Lesions in the 5 animals resembled papillomas and were found on the lips, chin, feet and tail. They were up to 3 cm diam. and were convex, hairless and encrusted. Microscopically, the epidermis was greatly thickened and there was severe hyper-keratosis, parakeratosis and acanthosis.
