The efficacy of intensive care for acute myocardial infarction making use of mannitol and vitamin E was under study. The results evidence a marked clinical effect of both the drugs. ECG demonstrates that in the majority of cases the necrotic process is arrested and no grave complications develop after such treatment, and the ECG parameters normalize. Measurements of serum enzymes activities and lipid peroxidation parameters have shown their more rapid normalization in the test group as against the reference group. Administration of these drugs within the first hours of the disease development improves the efficacy of intensive care for acute myocardial infarction.
