The values of the serum and spleen neutralization tests were checked in the animals infected intramuscularly with the strain of street rabies virus having a high virulence and extremely short incubation period. During the 11 days of incubation the increase of seroneutralizing titres appeared 3 days before the symptoms. Maximum values occurred during agony. Low splenoneutralizing titres occurred only on the 4th day. The virulence and the presence of the rabies virus antigen was confirmed by FA method from the 6th day after infection, 5 days before the appearance of the clinical symptoms.
