Rat experiments have indicated that 15% aqueous dimephosphonum solution applied topically (to the skin) for a long period of time fails to have an unfavourable action on the skin, by enhancing its bactericidal activity, stimulating regeneration processes, diminishing skin vascular permeability and lowering its levels of lipid peroxidation products.
