Smith and Tuttle described in 1969 for the first time a double pylorus; since then this anomaly has been found repeatedly. The pathogenesis is still discussed; the anomaly may be congenital or acquired. A case report is given of a patient with double pylorus; it is demonstrated, that in this case the double pylorus originated by way of a gastric ulcer.
