Endogenous hormones were localized at the ultra-structural level by an immunoenzymocytochemical, method using peroxide-labelled antibodies directly on ultrathin sections of anterior pituitary glands of rats which had been fixed and embedded in either methacrylate or Epon. Growth hormone (GH), prolactin (LTH), adrenocorticotrophic hormone and luteinizing hormone could be localized on methacrylate embedded glands and also GH and LTH could be localized on Epon embedded glands.
