Among 153 strains from cattle, water buffaloes and goats, the majority were just as sensitive as the reference strain ('E. coli B'). Four strains (4.5%) of bovine or caprine origin were resistant to streptomycin only, while five strains (3.2%) associated with diarrhoea in buffaloes were resistant to several antibiotics.
