There were 56 patients with hyperlipoproteinemias, treated with lipantil in a dose of 300-600 mg/day. After 8 weeks of the treatment the blood triglyceride content declined by 65.4%, the blood content of total cholesterol 24.1%, that of low density lipoprotein cholesterol 21.1%, of very low density lipoprotein cholesterol 34.1%; the content of high density lipoprotein cholesterol rose by 28.0%. The drug also exerted a uricosuric action. The rate of side effects was 3.6%.
