From a morphological, biochemical and sero-logical study on six strains of D. congolensis isolated from cattle, a lamb, a donkey and a horse it may be concluded that they are closely related if not identical. However, minor differences between some strains, in some antigens, is not absolutely excluded. These minor differences have no relation with the host from which the strain was isolated.
