The development of immunoassays for mycotoxins and the production of monoclonal antibodies against mycotoxins are discussed. Current progress in radioimmunoassay, competitive ELISA, rapid screening tests, immunoaffinity column assay, and criteria of evaluation of ELISA are outlined. The application of immunochemical methods for diagnosis of mycotoxicoses in humans and animals and for epidemiological studies is also summarized.
