The effectiveness of 2 commercially available immunoassays, namely the ALLERG-O-LIQ System and ImmunoCAP, for quantitative determination of inhalant and food allergen-specific IgE (sIgE) was compared. Serum samples were collected at the Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Diseases, First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College, Guangdong, China. Where possible, an equal number of positive and negative samples was included for each allergen.
