Functional disorders of the small and large intestines in the form of tonus and motor changes and sometimes changes in the mucosal relief were detected in patients with peptic ulcer during exacerbation. These changes were more frequent in the long course of the disease and were accompanied by similar changes in the upper parts of the gastrointestinal tract. Intestinal changes during ulcer exacerbation require medical correction in order to prevent the further development of inflammatory diseases.
