The absorption of an oral dose of fluconazole (100 mg) was investigated in 7 bone marrow transplant patients following total body irradiation (TBI) and high dose melphalan. Results were compared with those of 12 healthy volunteers. Peak blood levels occurred at 2 h in all patients and normal subjects and the mean peak blood level was not significantly different in the 2 groups. Mean 24 h urine excretion was significantly reduced in the patients.
