Among other things, this Austrian Act raises family allowances to 1300 schillings/month for each child, with a further increase of 250 schillings/month when the child reaches its 10th birthday. The Act also introduces a supplemental allowance of 200 schillings/month for each child permanently living in Austria with respect to whom a family receives a family allowance. In order to receive this supplemental allowance, a family with 1 child must have a yearly income less than 96,000 schillings. This maximum income limit is increased by 18,000 schillings for each additional child.
