Examinations of 80 healthy donors aged 18 to 68 (40 females and 40 male ones) have been carried out to define the physiochemical constants of red cell membranes, study the lipid peroxidation products, and determine phospholipid fractions in health. The findings characterize the standard values of the constants of red cell membranes in normal subjects of various ages; they may be used as the criterion of health in hot climate areas.
