Persistent trophoblast following tubal pregnancy

A case of a tubal pregnancy treated by tubotomy is presented. Twenty-six days later, the patient underwent salpingectomy on account of persistence of trophoblastic tissue in the same tube. Only nine cases have previously been reported, but due to more conservative surgical techniques in treating tubal pregnancies, these cases may appear more frequently in the future.
