Analysis of factors influencing city peasant households' economic growth in a transition economy: an empirical study of Shanghai peasant households

As a special economic grouping of peasant households, urban peasant households' main source of income is wages or labour service. The present analysis shows that the most important factors influencing such households' economic growth in Shanghai (China) are: (1) the human capital of the household; (2) the resources allocation structure of the household; and (3) the labour force size of the household.
