The local chemotherapy of tongue cancers is usually carried out through a catheter introduced directly into the superficial temporal artery up to the origin of the lingual artery. This method depends upon the blind introduction of the soft plastic catheters and its site control through injection of coloured solutions. Our method is characterized by the use of angiography catheters and its insertion up to the most optimal haemodynamic site near the origin of the lingual artery under fluoroscopic control. The advantages of this method may be the possibilities of percutaneous arterial puncture.
