Ascorbic acid was estimated in plasma from 17 persons 21 to 39 years old. The blood samples were centrifuged and stabilized immediately or after 1, 2, 4 or 8 h of storage at 4 degrees C in the dark. Results showed that it was possible to wait 8 h before centrifugation and stabilization without any effect on estimation of ascorbic acid.
