Coagulation phenomena in the examination of freshly collected titriplex blood samples with the aid of blood plasma ABR

Studies were performed on the coagulation process of the brucellosis ring test using blood plasma in connexion with time after sampling and on coagulation in these samples in connexion with storage time after incubation. Of 700 fresh blood-plasma samples, the coagulation tendency with respect to time was as follows: 1 hour, 9%; 2 hours, 14%; 3 hours, 10%; 4 hours, 11%; 5 hours, 3.3%; 6 hours, 0%; 24 hours, 0%. Of the 700 incubated samples, 9% coagulated immediately, the remainder doing so as follows: 1 hour, 41%; 2 hours, 64%; 3 hours 82%; 4 hours, 85%; 5 hours, 92%; 6 hours 92%; 24 hours, 100%. The influence of these results on tests for leukosis and brucellosis, using plasma from blood samples treated with Titriplex anticoagulant, was discussed.
