The role of oral sex in recurrent vulvovaginal Candida infections is briefly considered. It is suggested that the findings of a previous report [Markos, A. R. (et al.) Genitourinary Medicine (1992) 68, 61] which indicated that orogenital sex was more commonly practiced by couples where the woman was afflicted by vulvovaginal candidosis may simply be due to the superficial dyspareunia suffered by these women.
