Amphotericin B-induced shivering in patients with cancer, including shivering mechanisms, febrile shivering, costs of shivering and pathogenesis of amphotericin B-induced shivering, is discussed. Interventions to reduce shivering, such as restoring heat loss, modifying the rate of heat loss, altering the physiological determination of heat loss, giving drugs and related concerns are also considered.
