Single dose treatment with aminosidine of human taeniasis

One hundred and four cases of Taenia saginata infection have been treated with single dose of aminosidine sulphate and controlled after 3,7,30,60,90 days from the drug administration by means of stool examination. The clearance of the parasite was very rapid and final cure rate approached 96% with 4 failures. Diarrhoea was the main side-effect but on the whole tolerance was very good.
