Effect of the composition of dust and dust exposure on the sensitizing effect of poultry dust

The blood sera of 330 poultry breeders, exposed against different dusts of different stable systems, were taken to estimate the specific antibodies against dust antigens, the so-called type III-sensibilisation. The methods for estimate are the cross-electrophroesis and immunodiffusion. The results have shown the influence of the nature and composition of poultry dust, of the expositional conditions and of the breeders individual disposition. The co-operate of the factors is discussed. As a measure to prevent allergic type III-effects of the respiratory organ, the estimation of specific antibodies should be carried out.
