Patterns of change in natural cytotoxicity of mononuclear cells in chronic lymphocytic leukemia

Natural cytotoxic function of mononuclears was studied in 28 patients with chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL) and in 60 practically normal blood donors (control). A significant decrease (more than twofold) of natural cytotoxicity was recorded in CLL patients as compared to normal subjects, that correlated with the duration of the disease. The causes of such changes have been considered.
