The content of cells forming total and active rosettes with sheep and mouse erythrocytes, as well as changes of their level in vitro under the action of levamisole and tylorone, were studied in peripheral blood of 22 normal subjects and 28 patients with chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL). It has been shown that there exist two immunopathogenetic variants of CLL: with prevalence of relatively mature immunocytes (variant I) and immature immunocytes (variant II), that differed by their response to immunotropic agents. Differential application of levamisole in cases with variant II of CLL (at first stages of therapy), and tylorone-in variant I, has been recommended.
