The minimal inhibitory concentrations of three antibacterial products (cetrimide, hexachlorophene, chlorhexidine) have been determined on three reference strains (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter agglomerans, Escherichia coli) by means of 15 culture media and four dilutants of different active substances. This experimental study shows how important the variations of the values of MIC are, according to the pH of the culture media and the nature of their components. Then, the author describes a working procedure for each active substances.
