A rhinospirographic method of respiratory function test for young children

In 105 children aged from 39 months to 6 years and 9 months qualified into a comparative group respiration was recorded by means of a rhinospirographic method using for this purpose of rhinospirograph which was a part of the SINN--700 set for intensive neurological care. The rhinospirographic curve was a resultant of the changes of differential pressure and volume flow intensity in the flowmeter. The mean value were calculated of the duration of various parts of the rhinospirographic curve, angles of rising and falling slopes of the curve, amplitudes of deflections, respiratory rate and rhinospirographic index. It was shown that rhinospirography is an easy, noninvasive and simple method in testing of respiration in small children.
