Nematode electrocution

The electrocution of Panagrellus redivivus adults and larvae and Meloidogyne incognita acrita larvae and eggs was studied. Nematodes were placed in tap water between steel electrodes cemented to a glass slide and exposed to potentials of one, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 60 volts per mm. (A.C. and D.C.) for periods of one second to 5 minutes. Larvae were killed by potentials of 5 volts per mm. and above.
