The duration of fibrin self assemblage was shown to vary depending on the experimental situation. The presence of peptide limiting the self assemblage was detected, and the amino acid composition of peptide was decoded. The identity of the self assemblage inhibitor in plasma, tissues and urine of white mice was proved. It was shown that the intensity of the inhibitor urinary excretion altered parallel with its tissue content changes induced by thrombinemia or suppression of thrombinogenesis. All these findings attest to a possible regulatory role of peptide at the stage of fibrin self assemblage.
