Cyromazine was field tested during March and April, 1985, in stagnant, polluted waste-water in a drainage ditch at Kfar Masaryk, Israel, against the larvae of Culex pipiens. A single application of a 2% granular formulation of cyromazine applied at 0.5 g a.i./msuperscript 3 to the water effectively prevented larval development, pupation and adult emergence for up to 40 days.
