The calcium content of urine from 99 cows ranged from nil to 41 mg/100 ml, averaging 3.7. It was not directly related to the calcium content of the diet. High urinary Ca was associated with a diet rich in carbohydrate and having a low Ca/P ratio. Blood calcium was unrelated to dietary or urinary Ca.
