Radical radiation therapy in inoperable non oat-cell carcinoma of the lung with particular emphasis on roentgenographic tumor response as prognostic factor

The authors studied the results or exclusive radiotherapy in twenty four patients with inoperable non-oat cell carcinoma of the lung without extrathoracic metastases. In particular they analyzed the tumor response on X-Ray films and the influence of this response on survival. They think that short-term survival is positively influenced by a good tumor response, but the long term prognosis of these patients is similar to prognosis of patients with less tumor response.
