Paper electrophoresis by the CAMAG system at 5000 V and with a buffer, pH 2, containing 15% acetic acid and 5% formic acid was followed by chromatography with butanol, acetic acid and water (12: 3: 5) for 2 h. Standards were run in both dimensions. Amino acids were located by spraying with ninhydrin and heating.
