In all three countries there will be a very substantial growth in the labour force, most marked in the Philippines. The acceleration in the rate of growth of the labour force has resulted from the entry of the large post-war birth rate. There is no end in sight to the growth of the agricultural labour force in South East Asia. A simple comparison between the three countries shows a great deal of variation.
