In some localities in the United States horse owners, veterinarians, local farm organizations, State extension agencies, etc., assisted by officials of the United States Department of Agriculture have united to control intestinal parasites. Proper medication is necessary in addition to sanitary measures. All horse stock in a given territory should be treated on a specified date. Sanitation methods include the collection and storage of manure, rotation of pastures and rotation of animals.
