Different larval instars of A. arabiensis were infected experimentally with different dosages (up to 350 000 spores/ml) of N. algerae spores. The infections killed most of the exposed larvae at the instar treated. Chronic infections in adults developing from treated larvae decreased fecundity and shortened the life of adults. The possibility of applying N. algerae as a control agent against A. arabiensis larvae is discussed.
