Young pigeons given two subcutaneous doses of inactivated avian paramyxovirus 1 vaccine at 4 and 8 weeks of age had adequate HI antibody responses similar to those of pigeons vaccinated at 6 and 10 weeks. In adult pigeons a booster dose given 12 months after a primary course of two doses 4 weeks apart produced as high a HI antibody response as the primary course.
