Since a pension check is considered an important piece of mail for elderly recipients, nutrition information was included in the pension check envelopes of 1000 Pennsylvania retirees, in order to assess the feasibility of that delivery mechanism. The delivery of nutrition information in this manner was found to exert a small but postive influence on both nutrition knowledge and attitude scores as reflected by a completed survey questionnaire. The survey data are presented and discussed. (wz)
