Imparting nutrition education and assessing its impact on the dietary practices and knowledge of children and their mothers of a Special Nutrition Programme in operation at Coimbatore city at one center was the objective of the study. A center, where there was no nutrition education served as the control. The results indicate that the group who received nutrition education showed improvement in their nutritional knowledge and practices.
