Distribution of antigens of various erythrocytic systems in patients with hematologic diseases

A study was made of the distribution frequency of the antigens of the isoserologic systems ABO, Rh-Hr, MNSs, P, Kidd, Kell-Chellano, Duffy, Lewis, Lutheran, Diego in 528 hematologic patients. The antigens Lu(a+b+), Cc and Ee are more frequently recorded in patients with varying forms of leukemia, the antigen N is more often detected in patients with chronic myeloleukemia, while Lu(a+b+) in those with autoimmune hemolytic anemia, as compared to the control. The above-mentioned antigens can apparently be considered as possible genetic markers.
