BALB.D2-Mlsa--a new congenic mouse strain

An account is given of the development of this new strain, which carries the strong mixed lymphocyte reaction allele of the DBA/2 strain (Mlsa) on a BALB/c background; BALB/c mice have the allele Mlsb. The BALB.D2-Mlsa strain was produced to study the histocompatibility effects of Mlsa vs. Mlsb.
