Trypanosoma cruzi-infected mice treated with immunosera with neutralizing activity (NA) showed immunizing effects against acute infection which proved to be unrelated to humoral responses, immunosera with positive NA controlled acute infection and resulted in longer survival time then shown in mice without NA
