A filtration technique for evaluating red cell membrane rigidity is described. The filtrating apparatus is kept at a constant 37.degree. C temeperature and the filters are checked by a special apparatus. The modified method is described, and a comparison with the one previously used is done. The statistical evaluation of the results shows that the new method is more precise and reliable, expecially for high VES and hematocrit values.
