Diallyl disulfide (DADS), a major component of garlic oil, significantly increases both NADH- and NADPH-dependent microsomal monooxygenases in suckling rats at different time intervals after treatment. DADS increases glucose-6-phosphatase and ATP activities at a longer time interval (4 h) after treatment.
